Clarence Darrow once said, "You can only protect your liberties in this world by protecting the other man's freedom. You can only be free if I am free." I have taken this advice to heart, and have represented clients with points of view I don't necessarily agree with, in order to promote free speech itself. So I am disturbed by this trend to limit speech we don't like. No matter how hateful the speech, the answer is not suppression. The answer is more speech.
