I misread your title to imply that race is not involved in reproductive rights. I was wrong. I don't know who Amanda Duarte is, and don't care. But I do care about reproductive rights, so if you don't mind, I'd like to return the issue of race and reproductive rights.

Using Black women to "breed" more slaves was an essential foundation to the institution of slavery in this country. Abortion was one of the most important acts of resistance to slavery, and was severely punished back then. That is what the hypocritical "pro-lifers" want to return to. This is why I argue that anti-abortion laws should be struck down as a form of involuntary servitude prohibited by the Thirteenth Amendment.
