I still love that movie. Asking Hollywood to show a movie which condemns capitalism in a realistic way may be too much. The last movie which did that was Salt of the Earth - based on the true story of a strike in New Mexico. That movie was banned by the US, all the major Hollywood unions, and everyone involved in the movie was blacklisted. I knew people involved in both the movie and the original strike. Esperanza's speech to her husband still brings tears to my eyes.
