If I was a poor white, this article would convince me to hold on to my "white privilege." Why give up my "privilege" based on "race" when that is all I've got?

The truth is that "White Privilege" is a snake oil which has been sold to poor whites in order to uphold slavery, and now racism. That was W.E.B. DuBois' point when he spoke of the concept of " a sort of public and psychological wage" which prevented "a united fight for a higher wage and better working conditions."
