It is not entirely clear that the President has this power, and I wouldn't count on the Supreme Court to back him up. But it is clear that debtors have the real power to simply not pay. Like any other strike, it's effectiveness is in direct proportion to the solidarity of the strikers. Debt, like the government, only has the power we give it. Let's stop feeding this monster.
