Sounds like discrimination to me. The only way to be sure is to compare experiences with a white customer. (They used to use white "testers" for this.)

Recently, I was waxing nostalgic about my visits in the 80's to a restaurant/bar with live entertainment, later made famous in the movie "Swingers." My wife (many shades darker than I) had quite a different memory from her single visit before she met me - more like your experience here.
