Stop avoiding your responsibility. The responsibility always has, and always will, fall on each and every one of us to take care of each and every other one of us. It is because too many of us have failed in our responsibility to each other, failed to wear masks, failed to maintain distance, failed to listen to science, that this country has among the highest infection and mortality rates from COVID-19. Governments and corporations are not human beings who can spread the virus. They are institutions we created and continue to exist only by our sufferance. Their failure is our failure. This crisis has exposed the failure of our institutions - the failure to have universal health coverage , the failure to provide housing, the failure to adequately pay those who keep all of us alive. Yet instead of facing the failures of our institutions and changing them, too many whine about the loss of "liberty" to harm others. If we want to survive, then we, individually and collectively, need to grow up and face our responsibilities.
