Thank you. As someone who has argued for a living for nearly four decades now, I can confirm that listening to others is more important than what you say yourself in an argument. I learned this early. When my parents invited over friends, their "entertainment" was arguing. Nobody "won" but everyone enjoyed the intellectual stimulation of testing their own ideas against others, and hearing fresh perspectives from someone else. We each look at the world from a different perspective. These different perspectives are not necessarily "right" or "wrong." When you put two different perspectives together, as we do physically with our two eyes, we gain true "depth" perception. The only real "win" is when the argument results in someone widening their own perspective.
