Thank you for pointing out the lack of acknowledgment of systemic racism. However, many of those who use that term do not seem to understand what that means. "Systemic Racism" means that racism is embedded in the system itself. It means that racism cannot be solved by symbolic measures, like tearing down monuments, renaming schools, calling out "racists." or even "taking a knee." Racism can only be addressed by changing the system itself. That is what John Lewis dedicated his life to doing. That is what we need to do.
