Thank you for pointing this out. Rosa Parks didn’t sit in the front of the bus because she was tired — it was planned. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 was not passed because Congress had an anti-racist epiphany — this was the culmination of a long, coordinated struggle that went back to at least WWII.

We need more strategizing like that today. We are in a moment of possibility. Let us use it wisely.
