That is not at all true - in fact it may be the reverse. Those who work the hardest, contributing the most to society, are the lowest-paid. Farmworkers rising before dawn to work in pesticide-infested fields to bring you the food you eat; garment workers slaving away in sweatshops to put the clothes on your back; undocumented immigrants working under dangerous conditions to literally put the roof over your head. Not to mention those who literally "labor" for no compensation at all - mothers.

At the other end, those who make the most do so without contributing anything at all, just taking, from society. Speculators in land, stocks, loans, and even more exotic games which serve no purpose but to move wealth from those who produce it to those who control it.

The American Dream is a myth.
