The (unenforceable) restrictive covenant on my home says I can't have anyone who is not "of the white or caucasian race" residing on the property. I've always wondered what the difference is.

I suppose I qualify as a "Caucasian" in the sense you speak of, since I can trace some of my ancestry to the Caucasus Mountains, specifically the Khazars, whose empire once extended through that area.

But I can't claim my ancestors were "indigenous" to the region, as explained in the above article. For that matter, there really isn't anyone who can claim to be "indigenous" to any particular place, perhaps other than Africans living in the birthplace of all humanity. I know this is a controversial topic for those who claim to be "indigenous" or "native" but I think it is about time we realize we are all people of the Earth, responsible to each other and to the entire Earth itself.
