There is a simple way through this. Simple to express, that is, but difficult to implement.

Ricardo Flores Magon said that "Solidarity is the consciousness of the common interest, and the actions that follow from that consciousness."

So the question to ask is - Are our actions leading to solidarity over common interests, or to what W.E.B DuBois called "artificial divisions" among us.

I've criticized both "Cancel Culture" and "Identity Politics" for creating divisions rather than solidarity (see below). I don't know anything about the people you criticize here, but I don't think you should throw out everything they may argue for because they also advocate something despicable. Criticize the statements and actions, not the people.
