There is a Women's Health Protection Act in Congress (S 4132), which has the potential to restore women's choice. However, it keeps on stalling in the Senate, because of the filibuster. We need to get rid of the filibuster to accomplish anything there. I suggest adding the Thirteenth Amendment as a basis for the bill, and also as the discussion we should be having. Controlling black women's bodies was what held up the institution of slavery, after all. It's time for real emancipation.
