Why don't we just not call it "Critical Race Theory?" Why not avoid labels and jargon as much as possible? Instead of putting labels on people and ideas, let's explore them as problems which need to be solved.
For example, you point out the disparity in home ownership. Why is that? Instead of just labeling it "institutional racism" and moving on, let's talk about restrictive covenants, let's talk about redlining, let's talk about real estate speculation, let's talk about real people trying to pay for housing working overtime at minimum wage jobs. Most of all, let's talk about what can be done to fix these problems.
Using labels and jargon is a way to avoid discussion. We put the person or idea in the box of that label, whatever that means to us, and we are done with it. As Lao Tzu pointed out: “To order, to govern, is to begin naming; when names proliferate it’s time to stop.” - Tao Te Ching # 32
