Why is this all everyone talks about? How many have been killed in Ukraine since that slap? How many have been killed in Yemen, in all the other wars (official and unofficial) going on all over the world? How many have been killed by gun violence in the US? How many women have been murdered? How many have died from something which could have been treated, if they only had the money for health care? Yet all we can talk about is one slap in Hollywood?
This is what the Oscars were originally made for - to divert our attention from real issues. Apparently, it still works.
