Yes, Roe v. Wade rests (rested?) on shaky legal ground. What I urge is relying instead on the Thirteenth Amendment. Forcing a woman to carry a child and "labor" to birth it, is a form of involuntary servitude. In fact, forcing Black women to bear children was essential to maintaining slavery in the U.S., and abortion was one of the most common acts of resistance against slavery.
