Yes, "what we should do about people who are abusive or sexist or racist" is a good question. I say "cancelling" them is the wrong way, because it shuts down the conversation. What we need is more, not less, discussion to counter racism. That is why I am against the "cancelling" of Whoopi Goldberg. Her ignorant and divisive comments on the Holocaust should have been met by more discussion, not less..
