You don't have to look further than the Torah for Black Jews. Moses had a Black wife. We know this because of his sister Miriam's complaint about her brother marrying a Black. See Numbers 12. (The word she used was "Cushite," which refers to the dark-skinned people of present-day Ethiopia, who ruled all of Egypt at different times).

What happened to Moses' family? The Torah is strangely silent on this. Could they have returned to Africa?

Today, I get my coffee from a co-op of Jewish, Muslim and Christian coffee farmers in Uganda. That's right - Jews in Uganda. And the coffee is truly delicious.
